Macro Photgraphy with point and shoot

First of all point and shoot(P&S) is not for all types of photography. Things are lot easier when light, angle, subject every things are perfect. But some time one or more of them are missing and this will make you feel to through your camera away. Macro shoots with low light is one of such condition. In macro shoot since object is too close to camera normal flash light will simply washed out the image. Very low strength flash light is perfect for this kind of condition. Some modern camera has option to control the strength of flash light. Unfortunately my P&S is too old to have this kind of modern functionality. After lots of trial I found a way to control the flash strength in these kinds of camera. Just reducing the exposure in negative direction will reduce the flash strength. For very close up shoot -2Ev is good option. You can try with different exposure in manual mode. I tried this with canon camera. Things should be same in other P&S also. However since I didn't tried all of them so I can say it loud. Here is one example.
